Painstakingly handcrafted these lacquer miniatures are made using natural, pressed wood or papier-mache, and then covered with many layers of high quality lacquer to ensure the best protection and shine. The result is a beautiful combination of great inspiration, ambition and patience.

Made by:  Master Shoolim Shomansur. A master of miniatures. Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in 1965. Graduated from Benkov Republican Arts College in 1985. He applies traditional eastern vegetation and geometrical patterns in his works. Different forms and refined decorative patterns, and use of local colours are the main distinguishing features of the master's works. The master participated in many domestic and international exhibitions.
